When we moved here, it was UNBEARABLY hot & humid. I distinctly remember splaying across the hardwood floor of our un-air conditioned apartment in desperation, trying to convince my boyfriend that I was definitely going to die of the heat. A few of his eye-rolls later (my overdramatic ways are behind me! maybe.), and it's finally, finally beginning to feel like fall. Enter: the transitional fall outfit.
For mornings that are crisp and afternoons that are warm with what remains of the summer sun, a layer is key. This Current/Elliott army jacket has been my go-to for years with that exact purpose. It dresses up my pre-barre leggings, Birkenstocks, and tees, but it dresses down a structured skirt and striped tank that would otherwise look a little too Yacht Club-y.
Oh, and on the topic of Tibi's skirts, can we talk about how cool this one is? Definitely next on my list.
And these sunglasses. Can Dior make a frame that isn't chic? I think not.
